Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions set out the terms under which Maf Communication Limited (“Maf Communication”), provides you with the ability to make calls using either Pre-paid phone cards or through the Pay as you Go Sims and Topups.
References to “we”, “us” and “our” are to Maf Communication and we refer to you as “you” and “your”.
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and the terms governing your use of Maf Communication’s Services. By using Maf Communication Services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

In these Terms & Conditions some words begin with capital letters because they are definitions. See paragraph 11 for a list of these words and which paragraphs to go to in the Terms & Conditions to look up their meaning.
- What are Maf Communication Services?
1.1 Maf Communication Services are initially zero valued and you can add Credits (as defined below) to either a Pre-Paid Calling Card or to the Mobile Topup by purchasing a voucher of a certain monetary value, to enable you to make national and international phone calls from landlines, mobile phones and payphones.
1.2 Maf Communication Services come in a variety of monetary values (“Credit(s)”). Please see the FAQs for the details of the top-up amounts we currently offer.
1.3 Each time you make a call there are the following three parts to the process:
- The access number: this is a UK geographical number, which you will need to dial when using the Maf Communication Services . We do not charge you for this part of the call, but your phone provider may, as they would if you were making a call to UK landline. These calls are commonly included in your inclusive minute bundles.
- The “Connection Charge”: this may be a one off charge each time you use Maf Communication Services and covers the costs of our UK switching equipment. Exceptions Pay as you Go Sims.
The “Call Rates”: these are Charges per minutes basis or numbers of minutes offered for calling the specified country and will vary depending on whether you are calling a mobile or landline (The minutes announced in calling card may be used for single use, multiple use may change the amount of minutes. The Call Rates as published and updated from time to time.
1.4 For further information on how to use your Maf Communication Services , please see How it works.
- Validity Period
2.1 Except as set out at paragraph 2.2, Credits (whether available on your Maf Communication Services) purchased as a:
(a) Top-up of existing card through IVR; or
(b) Top-up of existing card online at Maf mafcommunication.co.uk
are valid from 10 to 30 days from the time of purchase (“Validity Period”). After the Validity Period in Pay as you Go Sims, you will still be able to use your Maf Communication Services but you will not make any call until re-Credit your Maf Communication Services or enter a new voucher code .
2.2 Except as set out at paragraph 2.1, Credits (whether available on your Maf Communication Services or the Pay as you Go Sims) purchased as an:
(a) E-voucher purchased in-store; or
(b) E-voucher purchased online at mafcommunication.co.uk
3.1 Please click here for Call Rates. In the event of a conflict between any Call Rates set out on Maf mafcommunication.co.uk and any call rates set out on any Maf Communication Services or in any other media, the Call Rates set out on Maf mafcommunication.co.uk shall take precedence.
3.1a Each time you use Maf Communication Services , the Credit on your Maf Communication Services or Pay as you Go Sims will be reduced by the charges incurred, calculated by Maf Communication Pay as you Go Sims and deducting the total of the Call Rates and the Connection Charge and any Surcharge.
3.2 All calls using the Maf Communication Services are charged in one minute increments, rounded up to the nearest minute. In addition to the Connection Charge and the Call Rates (as respectively defined at paragraphs 1.3b. and 1.3c. above), some calls (for example, calls using the 0800 access number or from a BT payphone) have an additional charge referred to as a “Surcharge(s)”; for details of all Surcharges, please see our FAQs.
3.3 We will not charge you for calling our geographic access numbers (such as 0207 097 2468). However, you may incur charges from your phone service provider so please contact them to check whether this is the case and, if so, familiarise yourself with the charges which Pay as you Go Sims.
3.4 Call Rates and Connection Charges and Surcharges are subject to change at any time.
3.5 Every effort is made to ensure that Call Rates and Connection Charges and Surcharges are correct and up to date. Please click here for the most up to date Call Rates and Connection Charges and Surcharges before you make a call as you will be charged at the then current rates listed at the time you make your call.
3.6 All Call Rates, Connection Charges and Surcharges include VAT.
3.7 Calls made via the Pay as you Go Sims are not subject to 4p Connection Charge.
- No Refund
4.1 If your Maf Communication Services or any mobile phone through which you access the services from time to time is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed or is otherwise is rendered unusable (and you do not know the PIN) you will lose any remaining Credit to use the Maf Communication Services. Maf Communication Services will not able to provide you with a refund of any Credit used in such manner.
4.2 In addition, as stated in paragraph 2 above, you will lose any remaining Credit to use the Maf Communication Services after the Validity Period expires.
5.1 You cannot use the Maf Communication Services for calling premium rate numbers or some non-geographic numbers (for example, 090). Whilst you can use the Maf Communication Services to call the Emergency Services, we advise that you do not do so.
5.2 The Maf Communication Services are intended by us to be used in the United Kingdom. If you access Maf Communication Services from other jurisdictions, you do so at your own risk and potential additional cost, and you are responsible for your own compliance with local law.
- Availability of Services
6.1 When we provide you with the Maf Communication Services, we will use the reasonable skill and care of a competent service provider, but we cannot guarantee that the Maf Communication Services will always be fault-free. Some things will be out of our control, for example, Maf Communication Services are dependent on network operators and the services of such network operators can be affected by things that we cannot control.
6.2 Your access to the Maf Communication Services may be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services. Your access may also be restricted if we are required to restrict it following instruction from the government, the emergency services or any other competent or lawful authority. In these circumstances, we will attempt to restore the service as soon as we reasonably can. If there is an unusual use of the Maf Communication Services (for example, significantly increased traffic indicating fraudulent use), we may temporarily suspend your use of the Maf Communication Services to prevent you from incurring excessive or unwanted charges.
- Our Responsibility to You
7.1 Nothing in this paragraph 7 shall limit or affect our liability resulting from anything we provide to you being found to be unsafe or if something we do negligently causes death or personal injury.
7.2 Subject to paragraph 7.1, if we are in breach of these Terms & Conditions, we will only be responsible for any losses that you suffer as a result to the extent that they are a directly foreseeable consequence to both of us at the time you buy the Maf Communication Services. We do not assume any liability for content received from calls made by you using the Maf Communication Services.
7.3 You acknowledge that we are not responsible for providing (or maintaining) the equipment that you use to access the Maf Communication Services or the national or international telecommunications networks which your calls travel across.
7.4 The Pay as you Go Sims may contain advertising and sponsorship. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on the Pay as you Go Sims complies with relevant laws and codes. We will not be responsible for any error or inaccuracy in advertising and sponsorship material.
7.5 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights (which include, for example, that we will provide the Maf Communication Services to a reasonable standard and within a reasonable time). For more information on your statutory rights you can contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.
- Your Responsibility to Us
8.1 You must not use the Maf Communication Services for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, to make any communication which is, or is intended to be, malicious, fraudulent or hoax (including to the emergency services) or in any way which may damage or affect the operation of the Maf Communication Services or any other telecommunications system.
8.2 If you do not comply with this paragraph 8, the Maf Communication Services may be suspended indefinitely and you will compensate us for all liabilities, claims, damages, losses and costs (including legal costs) which we may suffer as a result.
- Intellectual Property
The design of the Maf Communication Services and the trademarks, service marks and logos contained therein (“Marks”), are owned by or licensed to us. No licence is granted to you in these Terms and Conditions to use any trade mark of Maf Communication.co.uk or its affiliated companies including, without limitation, the trade marks Maf Communication, Maf Communication.Co.uk.
- Personal Information
10.1 If you provide personal information to us through using the Maf Communication Services, we will not share it with anyone outside the Maf Communication Group for marketing purposes. We sometimes use and share anonymised information outside the Maf Communication. However, we would like to reassure you that this never includes your personal information.
10.2 We will never disclose your information to anyone outside the Maf Communication except where we have your consent; where we are required or permitted to do so by law; to other companies who provide a service to us; or any successors in title to our business. Whenever we transfer personal information to countries outside the European Economic Area we will ensure that Pay as you Go Sims appropriate security measures are taken.
- Marketing and Research
By using Maf Communication Services, you agree that we may contact you, including via push notifications through the Pay as you Go Sims, with offers and information about our products and services, including the Maf Communication Services. We may contact you with offers and information about our partners’ products or services. We may also contact you through the Pay as you Go Sims for customer research purposes, for example to help us improve our services. Of course, the choice is entirely yours, but if you say you do not want to receive marketing information from us this will prevent you from receiving great offers or promotions that may be of interest to you.
12.1 If you allow another person to use your Maf Communication Services they will be subject to these Terms & Conditions. We may transfer our rights under these Terms & Conditions to another business where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected.
12.2 By using the Maf Communication Services, you represent to us that you are fully able and competent to enter into and abide by these Terms & Conditions.
12.3 If you breach these Terms & Conditions and we choose to ignore this, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach these Terms & Conditions.
12.4 We shall not be responsible for any breach of these Terms & Conditions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
12.5 These Terms & Conditions are subject to English law. We will try to solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are not happy with the way we deal with any disagreement and you want to take court proceedings, you must do so in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
12.6 These Terms & Conditions shall constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding use of the Maf Communication Services. If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms & Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
12.7 We may modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice to you and it is your responsibility to review these Terms & Conditions for any changes. Your continued use of the Maf Communication Services following any amendment of these Terms & Conditions will signify your assent to and acceptance of its revised terms.
12.8 Except as stated otherwise in this paragraph 12.8, a person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions but this shall not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act. Any member of the Maf Communication Ltd may enforce any provision of these terms as if it were a party to these terms.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless DiGiCallingCards.com, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and any officers, directors, employees, consultants, and agents of any of them from any and all third party claims, liabilities, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of services provided by DiGiCallingCards.com, your violation of this Agreement or your infringement, or infringement by any other user of your account, of any intellectual property right or other right of any person or entity. The Agreement will inure to the benefit of DiGiCallingCards.com and its successors, assigns and licensees.
- Choice of Law, Jurisdiction, and Venue
This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by international consumer law, without regard to conflicts of laws principles; as such laws are applied to agreements entered into and to be performed internationally. Both you and DiGiCallingCards.com submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of the country where the legal entity providing the online service is resident and further agree that any cause of action arising under this Agreement shall be brought in a court on the choice of jurisdiction selected by the seller.
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced and remain in full force and effect.
The failure of either party to insist upon or enforce strict performance by the other party of any provision of the Agreement or to exercise any right under the Agreement will not be construed as a waiver or relinquishment to any extent of such party’s right to assert or rely upon any such provision or right in that or any other instance.
DiGiCallingCards.com may freely assign this Agreement and upon such assignment DiGiCallingCards.com will be relieved of any further obligation there after. You may not assign its rights under this Agreement, in whole or in part, to any third party.
- Entire Agreement
DiGiCallingCards.com reserves the right to unilaterally amend this Agreement at any time by either:
(a) notifying you by e-mail, in which case the amendments will be effective upon e-mailing you the notification at the e-mail address you have provided; or
(b) by posting the amended version on the Website and announcing on our Home Page that the amended agreement is available. In this case, such amendments will be effective when announced. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by DiGiCallingCards.com.
If your order is accepted, we will send you an email invoice confirming your purchase. The PIN(s) and access details will be sent to you via e mail and will be visible on the website in “My Account” section. Please remember to keep all account details and your PIN confidential. DiGiCallingCards.com accepts no responsibility for any misuse of PINs and it is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure details are not open to abuse once your PIN details are received.
(a) DiGiCallingCards.com reserves the right to refuse any order placed by you.
(b) We do not offer refund and do not accept return or replacement of cards after purchase unless stated otherwise in our Refund Policy.
(c) Should a calling card become faulty, you must contact the calling card Customer Services immediately. The number can be found within the card descriptions within this site. Please ensure you use the right Customer Services number that is connected to your purchase. Different brands have different Customer Service numbers. Please have your card PIN number available when you call.
(d) You undertake that all the details you provide to us for the purpose of purchasing goods are correct, that the Credit or Debit card you are using is your own and there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the purchase.
(e) If there are any changes to the personal information supplied by you, it is your responsibility to amend it on your login as soon as possible. Each and every time you make a purchase from our website, you confirm that the personal information which we hold about you is true and accurate. If your e-mail address changes or your address and contact details, please change before you purchase.
(f) Credit card and Debit card transactions will be protected using industry standard security technology (SSL). (g) We do not accept liability for any errors and omissions and reserve the right to change information, specifications and descriptions of listed products.

Viruses, hacking and other offences
You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack.
By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act
1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will cooperate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of our site or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any website linked to it.
